Each short documentary will be introduced by John Wilson who will also take a few questions after each showing. The three documentaries featured include:
Wilson Natural Home - 25 minutes, how an Ontario family built an award-winning sustainable home, incorporating solar panels, a green roof, passive solar design and much more
The Solar Village - 25 minutes, tour the ultimate solar powered condo in Freiburg Germany, see how a community built six large turbines, and learn how a solar panel manufacturer was able to be the first zero emissions factory in Europe

Wilson Natural Home
This down-to-earth documentary explains in simple terms, with hands-on demonstrations, how we all can start using solar energy, wind power, breathing walls, straw bale home construction techniques, passive solar design, smart windows, green roofs, and composting – today! You’ll meet
the experts as they explain how to make Natural Living work for you. You’ll see it all in action: a wind turbine, solar panels, the hydro meter running backwards, grass on the roof, and more. This home costs less to build than a conventional custom built home while saving you thousands every year in eliminated energy bills. The award-winning sustainable design by highly acclaimed eco-architect Martin Liefhebber (featured in the documentary DVD) proves that form, function, beauty and comfort can work together to save the environment, improve your health and provide a reasonable return on your investment.
Here
is a documentary that breaks down many of the barriers to a sustainable
lifestyle, and shows what is attainable today. I truly believe that, as in
my own case, once people see what others have achieved, they will
be inspired and emboldened to make the changes suggested in this
documentary. Please buy this DVD today, see how attainable a sustainable lifestyle really is, and if you are not completely happy with what you've learned, return the DVD and I will refund your payment.
The Solar Village
The Solar Village is a documentary video that explores how we can create sustainable communities today. Rather than discuss these workable ideas in the abstract this documentary takes you to the people who are making our world work on solar power today. It is possible now to create communities that are more comfortable than our current ones while using clean reliable renewable energy.
Beyond renewable energy the people of Freiburg Germany show us how to build large scale solar apartment houses, privately/community financed wind parks, and zero emissions factories (that produce solar panels). In this documentary you will meet the people, planners and politicians who are making it happen. Whether you are a home owner, builder, designer, architect, politician, activist, business person or artist, this documentary will provide you with an inspiring look at how the future of sustainable communities works today.
Hope for a Change: Renewable Energy
This documentary about how people and communities using Renewable Energy provides hope that we will achieve a sustainable future. This hope is a natural result of the ability of renewable energy to replace non-renewables like fossil fuels and nuclear energy. Renewable Energy sets the stage for a world where political and social autonomy is possible, energy crises are history, climate change is halted, and oil/nuclear war is averted. See how it's possible to live an ethical existence today while providing hope for a better future for our children.
Featured in this timely documentary are award-winning scientist and world-renowned environmentalist Dr. David Suzuki, author of the Geography of Hope, which is on the "Globe 100" list of the best books of the year — Chris Turner , and Right Livelihood award-winner Dr. Hermann Scheer, the architect of the German Renewable Energy Act.
