Introduction The Earth Ship house,
north of Toronto, Ontario, in Canada, has been constructed using used
tires and used aluminum pop cans that are stuccoed together. This type
of home saves a great deal in construction materials. By building into
the earth the heating costs are drastically reduced. The windows are exclusively
on the south side except for some sky lights on the earth covered roof.
The flooring system includes a hydronic tubing for storing and circulating
warm water in the winter to keep it warm inside. |
