On November 4th, Craig Lewis from the national FIT Coalition in California gave a lecture for The Grand Vision in Traverse City, MI. The Grand Vision is designed to help develop a citizen-led blueprint for growth that will secure the future prosperity, sustainability and quality of life in our region for generations to come. One of the areas of concern is energy. The Energy Network works to create energy options through energy conservation and the development and promotion of alternative energy in the region; all part of a sustainable energy future and a regional economic strategy for Northwest Michigan. For the Energy Network, monthly lectures have been scheduled by nationally known experts. The next event for the Energy Network is an Energy Expo on January 15th.
